Princess of Asturias Awards (Featured Selection)

The Princess of Asturias Awards, established in 1981, are among the world’s most prestigious honors, recognizing notable achievements in fields such as the arts, literature, social sciences, sports, and international cooperation. Presented annually in Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias, these awards celebrate individuals and organizations worldwide that have made significant contributions to humanity’s cultural, scientific, and humanistic heritage. The awards are conferred by the Spanish Royal family as part of a week of events. Ana Blandiana was this year’s winner for literature, and the film was featured as part of the celebration.
